Though it is a common misconception that you must get more than one estimate for your insurance company.  No, you do not. Automotive Dynamics dba Fix Auto Sun City would be more than happy to write you an estimate and send it to your insurance company. No law requires you to get more than one estimate. It is very important to know that you are free to choose any reputable repair provider that you wish and with whom you feel comfortable.  Your insurance company is required, by law, to pay the reasonable cost to restore your vehicle to pre-accident condition according to the coverage you purchased and can not force you or steer you to use any select service facility. You have final say on who you choose to do the work on your vehicle. If you previously received an estimate from your insurance company we are willing to work with them to get you back on the road as quick as possible.

3. Can I choose the body shop where my vehicle is repaired?

Yes, it is your responsibility as well as your Right to select the body shop of your choosing. Do not let the insurance company threaten or scare you into getting your vehicle repaired where they want you to or to a select service facility of their choice. Not all shops do quality work. You have the right to have your vehicle fixed at a facility of your choice. Maybe you’ve had a family trusted body shop. If you don’t, you may ask friends for referrals or maybe check the internet. We would recommend you check with the Better Business Bureau, online reviews and it's highly recommended the facility shop you choose is industry accredited by I-CAR. 12. How long will it take to repair my vehicle?

Vehicle repair time is estimated by the complexity and extent of the damages. We will determine an estimated time of delivery based on the initial appraisal of the collision damage. However, the initial appraisal is often written on surface damage only. The estimated time of delivery may change once we have a better understanding of the internal damage and necessary parts needed for the repair. The more common the car, the more likely the parts will be available. Often times after we disassemble the vehicle, hidden damage is found. If this is the case, a supplemental estimate must be written and the additional repairs and parts needs approved by your insurance company. We will make sure your service advisor keeps you informed every step the repair process.

13. I have several estimates that are significantly different in price. Why?

There are more than a few reasons why an estimate may differ from one body shop to the next. Though it is not malicious in most cases it does raise flags for customers when they are quoted significantly different prices for the same job. Let us help clear that up a bit. Most body shops use one of three systems to determine the initial estimate of your repairs: Mitchell, CCC and ADP. These systems will differ in labor operations as well as materials used for similar repairs. The parts used in a repair will have a direct reflection on the price of the job. One estimate can be written using OEM parts while another will use original manufacturer parts. In the case you feel overwhelmed by the different estimates bring them all into Automotive Dynmics and we well be glad to go over them with you helping you make the appropriate decision.

14. If my vehicle’s frame is damaged does that mean my vehicle can’t be repaired?

Actually, frame damage is very common and it can be repaired using the proper equipment and experienced technicians. The severity and location of the collision damage indicates whether there is frame or unibody damage to your vehicle. To correct this your vehicle will be mounted to a dedicated bench or universal frame rack. We will then use a computerized measuring system to provide graphic and numeric data showing the extent of the damage and the damage will be repaired returning specific measuring points on your vehicle back to the dimensions dictated by the vehicle manufacturer.

15. Can you match the color of the paint on my vehicle?

Of course, Automotive Dynamics utilizes a computerized paint mixing system by AXALTA, a leader in refinish products. We will use the paint code on your vehicle to indicate the color your vehicle was painted at the factory. It provides a starting point for the paint formula. Our painters use the paint code and their experience to blend a color that matches your vehicle. Your vehicle will be spray painted in a downdraft booth providing you with a factory paint match… both color and texture.

16. Do you offer a warranty on your paint?

Yes, because we use the AXALTA system we also provide a Lifetime Nationwide Warranty for any paint repairs.

17. Is my vehicle a total loss?

We, as the body shop, do not have the authority to claim a vehicle as totaled.  That decision is solely up to the insurance company. But we can educate you as to how insurance companies make this decision. Though every insurance company has their own specific guidelines which they utilize to determine if a vehicle is a total in many cases if the cost to repair equals or exceeds 75% to 80% of the vehicle’s cash value.

18. What do I do with my insurance check?

You should always hold onto to the check until after the repairs have been made as we will need to collect it along with any applicable deductible. Some customers are uncomfortable keeping the check and if you fall under this category we are willing to keep the check on hand here at the facility until all repairs are completed. You can then endorse the check over to Automotive Dynamics dba Fix Auto Sun City. For more information feel free to ask your service provider about the best course of action.
